Help Your Child's School and Their Education!

I have recently signed up to be a room mother as well as volunteer at my daughter's school, In working so closely with the school, I began to see the need of all the various fund raisers and such that are always going on throughout the year.

Aside from fundraisers there are many ways we can contribute to helping schools in our community. Many of them are very easy, and require very little funding from our own budgets! As couponers, we have the ability to help out in several ways. The programs below are very well known and have helped many schools and students in the past. If there is another program that I have not mentioned, feel free to comment about it below or send me an email with more info!

Box Tops For Education

One of the most well known ways to help out schools is to collect Box Tops.

Box Tops for Education is a program where participating brands and items put labels on their products. Parents clip and save these box tops to donate to their child's school. Each school will receive $0.10 per Box Top that is clipped and turned in. This may not sound like a lot, however there has been more than $300 Million dollars raised from this Box Top Program alone!

You can find Box Tops on many items that you probably purchase each grocery trip! Even better is the fact that these items also go on sale often and have great coupons to go along with the sale! Some of these products are:

Betty Crocker Boxed Potatoes
Yoplait Go Gurt
Huggies Diapers and Wipes
Hefty Products
Ziploc Products
Pillsbury
Juicy Juice and Many more. In Fact you can see the LONG list HERE!

So look for the box tops labels on the packaging and be sure to clip them before disposing. You can take them to the school of your choice so they can get their credit. For more information on Box Tops for Education you can go to their site HERE.

Campbell's Labels for Education

For more than 37 years, Labels for Education has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. It’s a fun, easy program where students, families and members of the community work together for a common goal.

Today, over 85,000 schools and organizations are registered with Labels for Education, benefiting more than 42 million students. Over the years, we've been able to provide more than $110 million in merchandise to America's schools!

When you collect these labels, you only need to cut the area around the UPC, you will not need the whole product label to receive credit. There are many products out there that qualify. These labels are worth points, and there are different point values for different products. You can take a look HERE to see the list of qualifying products and their point values.

Sunny D Book Spree

This program is only available for a limited time. From August 2, 2010 til November 30, 2010, You can purchase and collect Sunny D brand UPC Labels. Once your child's classroom has accumulated 20 labels, they can be submitted by the teacher to receive 20 books for their classroom!

There were 84,000 Free books given to schools during the program in 2009! There is also a contest for the top label submitting schools for even more free books!
