9-Lives Prize Pack Giveaway

I Love Cats! We actually have 3, very spoiled cats of our own!
When it comes to feeding them, we usually have just gone with
what is on sale, or what we have coupons for and luckily that tends
to be name brand foods.

But are they getting what they need from just any old food
we buy? It was interesting to learn some of the statistics that
are listed below! I was asked to spread this info on in hopes to
reach feline pet parents and raise awareness of some things they
may not know as well as bring to their attention
the benefits of feeding your pet 9Lives Daily Essentials Food.

Here are two of our cats,
Poppy (Orange) and Mittens (Gray)
They appear to be a bit color blind
in these photos!  :)

Poppy is a very timid cat, he loves
attention and is very laid back!

Mittens is more of a loaner cat, she likes to do whatever she wants when she wants and very rarely asks for attention, Just food!

And This is our newest edition, Oreo!
He was rescued from a Walmart parking lot
where someone just left him at only 5 weeks
old! We haven't gotten him his matching bed
yet, but rest assured he will get it!
This is the sweetest of our three cats! It loves
to be around us and seems so "thankful" to be
rescued.

It's strange how cats can have such different
personalities!

SOME GREAT INFORMATION FOR FELINE PET PARENTS!
A survey of feline pet parents across the country commissioned by 9Lives found that an overwhelming 94 percent of cat owners are confident they feed their felines the most nutritious meals possible. However, nearly half (48 percent) admit they´ve fed their cats table scraps - which do not provide the essential nutrients cats need - an average seven times per month. Additionally, only 30 percent know that giving your cat milk may not be a healthy practice due to the common incidence of lactose intolerance in adult cats.

Additional findings include:

  • 23% of American pet parents think it´s beneficial to keep their cats on a purely vegetarian diet, while actually it may be harmful

  • There are a number of foods that feline parents assume are healthy for cats, but are actually not advantageous to their health including root vegetables (73%), green tomatoes (54%), and raw potatoes (50%)
  • Nine out of ten feline pet parents would be willing to switch foods if they knew it would provide better nutrition. In fact:
    • 92 percent of cat owners would switch foods if it would improve their cat´s health, and
    • 91 percent would switch food if they could add years onto their feline´s life
In an effort to educate pet parents about the common misperceptions of proper feline nutrition, 9Lives is committed to raising awareness to this issue by providing advanced nutrition for all cats. With the 9Lives Advanced Nutrient System, feline parents everywhere can rest assured knowing their cats are getting the essential nutrients they need to help promote healthy skin and coat, strong muscle growth and a healthy immune system among other benefits.

Tony is the craziest cat ever!! LOL... first of all he is a hunter. If he can't find a fly or something in the house to hunt, he has no problem waking me up at 2 AM to let him out. LOL... 2nd of all he is an acrobat. LOVES doing backflips for no reason! All the time!! I <3 my kitty!!

I have 3 inside cats. There's Button, Chew Toy, & Love Me, all of which were rescue kittens. I also feed a colony of ferals because people like to drop cats off at my house.

Our oldest cat is 12 years old. My husband and I adopted him from an animal shelter about a 2 months before our first child was born. His name is Bearpup- I thought he looked like a black bear and my husband just always wanted to name a cat pup. Our youngest cat is 7 years old. My husband brought him after work one day. I was pregnant with our last child and very sick on the couch. The kitten stayed with me until I felt better and he always wanted to share my cheese sandwich (the only thing I could eat at the time) with me. His name is Sandwich.

We have one big cat that loves to lay on anything. Ironically, his name is Tiger . . .but he just loves to lay around!
