Wanchai Ferry, Macaroni Grill and $25 Visa Gift card giveaway!

Do you remember your first dinner out with your sweetie? When my husband and I
first met, it took a little while before we had our first official date, We didn't dine at
a fancy restaurant, but had a nice night with dinner at O'Charley's and saw a movie
at the theater. We rarely get nights out like that anymore, maybe some of you can
relate.

I was excited when I was asked to give the Wanchai Ferry and Macaroni Grill
home dinner kits a try. I had actually never gotten around to purchasing either of
these kits in the past, but had always been curious to their taste compared to dining
out. I happen to be a huge fan of Macaroni Grill Restaurants!

I received the Macaroni Grill Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken and Pasta Kit
and the Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken Kit along with a $25 Visa Gift card
which helped to purchase the chicken for each of these meals, along with a
dessert and a movie to rent for viewing together after dinner.

I decided to prepare both of these meals at one time, and give them a try.
You would think cooking two different meals would be difficult, however other
than a few extra dishes to wash, it was not complicated to do at all. Both of
these meal kits gave me easy, step by step directions to prepare and serve.

How it turned out:

Macaroni Grill Creamy Basil Parmesan Chicken

Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken

Both meals turned out just fine. The Macaroni Grill one had a similiar taste to
a restaurant type version, but I definitely prefer dining in on that one. It
was very edible, Maybe I'm just not a fan of basil?

The Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken Meal was great! The whole time I was
cooking that one, it smelled very delicious. It even looked great and more
like the picture on the box when it was complete. I was more of a fan
of the Wanchai Ferry one, and if I ever got the craving for dining out for
Chinese, I believe this dinner kit would do the trick at home!

There is a $2.25/2 Printable coupon right now available HERE if you would

We met in a grocery store! And then we went out for dinner. It was cheesy but we're still together 15 years later!

My hubby and I went hiking for our first date. He got us lost - I was very understanding, so he bought me dinner too.

We went to see Pirates of the Caribian 2. The only good thing about that movie was seeing it with Tyson.

Our first date was 12/22/09 and at a little restaurant in the town we both grew up in. He moved away 23 years before and joined the Air Force - and we were finally reconnecting after failed marriages and all that time! I married him 9 1/2 months later on 10/01/10. We currently live 2400 miles apart, and he's getting ready to go overseas on a 12 month unaccompanied tour.....so having a romantic night to ourselves is in the plans!
