I wanted to grab a few more Pet deals before the sale ended, so I gathered up and
printed the rest of my coupons and this is what I left with! (Also note thatMy Publix
doubles coupons up to $0.50) I have held on to several of those Diet Coke coupon
booklets that I have collected over different store visits. It was a good week to use
them! This was from ad week 3/31 - 4/5

2 Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt (3oz) Reg $0.69ea Sale $0.50ea
I used two $0.30/1 Printable Coupon (doubled to $0.60!)
Got two for FREE plus $0.20 Overage after coupons!
8 Friskies Party Mix Cat Treats Reg $1.75ea Sale $0.87ea
I used eight $1/1 Coupons from SS 1/23 insert
AND one $1/1 Publix Store Printable Coupon
Got eight for FREE plus $2.04 in Overage after coupons!
2 Purina Kitten Chow Reg $4.99ea Sale $2.49ea
I used a $2/2 Coupon from RP 3/20 insert
Got two for $2.98 after coupons!
18 Whiskas Trays - $0.45ea
Used nine BOGO Free coupons from RP 3/27 insert ($0.45 doubles to $0.90!)
Got all eighteen for FREE after coupons!
1 Publix Cream Soda 2 Liter Reg $0.89 Sale $0.44
Total BEFORE any sales or coupons: $51.51
Total AFTER all sales and coupons were used: $2.78!

I'm confused on how this works, Whiskas Food for Cats, 3.53 oz tray, 45¢ or in-store dispenser with the BOGO coupons, wouldn't you have to buy the 1st one to get the 2nd free. Sorry if this is a silly question
It's not a silly question and it can look confusing. Here is why it works,
keep in mind, that I live in an area where Publix doubles coupons up to
$0.50.
If I buy 2 Whiskas Trays at $0.45 each then I owe them $0.90. But if I
have a coupon that is BOGO, then when the cashier scans the coupon, the
computer asks for
the amount of coupon. Cashier then enters $0.45 to make one of my cat foods
free. Since this is under $0.50, the computer automatically doubles the
coupon
making my coupon worth $0.90 and my cat food free.
